Of course, there are many types of colorants on the market, which will certainly make your life easier. You won't need a large amount to have the desired color. You will 
have a wonderfully colored cream or dough. 
But I have to ask. Do you think they healthy?
In short:
1. There are both artificial and natural colorants on the market.
2. Artificial colorants are obtained through chemical processes.
3. There are also natural colorants and pigments on the market. The most common is the beta carotene.
4. You can get natural colorants at home, just with a blender.
5. You will be able to use vegetables, fruits, seeds to have the desired color.
6. To get different colors, you will be able to use: e.g. blueberries, beets, spinach, strawberries, oranges, etc.
