My name is Raluca Negrea and I am a baker. I own Buttercup Desserts, as well a big portofolio of delicious cakes.
Six years ago I started to analyze what I would like to do and what I really love. After a while, of thinking well about it, the answer came. My passion is bakery. The realization came at a time when my life was changing radically, I was going to return to Romania, and my 6-year relationship ended. My life was turned upside down, and the bakery course that I was going to take changed my life for the better. It gave me a new path.
The path was long. I started to learn a lot, because of the course, of the practice, but a lot by myself. I tried a big number of recipes, but I failed as well many times. I threw a lot of ingredients into the trash, I almost missed the deadline of the delivery, I spent a lot ot time reading to figure out what went wrong, but one thing was constant, I didn’t give up. I had a dream and a path to follow.
Life is a continuous change and now I can be proud of a very nice portofolio full of delicious cakes and a series of achievements.
All my life I wanted to build something from scratch and do something that I really love.
From 2015 I have delivered countless bakery products for events, birthdays, baby showers and corporate events. I also got contracts with cafes or restaurants, organized workshops with different themes and won a competition with my famous chocolate chili tart.
One year ago I found out that I am allergic to wheat flour, eggs and peanuts, so my life was changing again. Every recipe, food has to be adapted, as well as the cakes. I had to learn again how to make suitable cakes.
I know what you are going through and how frustrating it can be. I know how hard it is sometimes to stay away from sweets or make the right choices. That is why I want to share with you what I have learned over time, and especially how you can eat healthy but delicious cakes, without feeling guilty that you ate the wrong thing.
